That is the question that most parents ask themselves or it’s the question that they ask their child when they have done something that is totally against the rules, regulations, morals and integrity that you as a parent has instilled in them. Here is a list of some of those “Have You Gone Crazy Moments”
- Your child curses at you
- Your child talks back to you
- Your child threatens you
- Your child hits you or hits you back
- Your child looks at you as if they are going to do any or all of the above
Maybe you have experienced this or know of someone that has. What was the outcome? What happend to cause the reacation from the child?
Now it don’t matter if the child we are discussing is 1 or 101. They are still your child or the child in the matter.
The parent may have been perfect: Raised the child in the admonition of the Lord and all that comes with being “the perfect” parent. Yeah, they say no one is perfect…(That’s another topic) or the parent may have been what one would consider the worst parent.
What do you have to say about this? How would you handle this? Do you know someone in this situation, whether parent or the child?
Children, no matter what age are admonished to honor their parents. Alot of times the excuse is used -” well they provoked me” “they are disrepectful to me”, “they are not a good parent” etc. There is no excuse for any child that disrespects their parent in any way, great or small
Parents are admonished not to provoke their children to anger, to raise them up in the admonition of The Lord. Sometimes as parents we have a way of provoking our children to anger and in the rage of anger alot of things can transpire…No Excuse thoough. We as parents have to also learn to control ourselves. Just because we are the parent don’t mean that we have a license to do certain things to our children.
